This coin set represents the first issues and year of the Soviets in 1921. While not very rare, 1921 were key dates to some of the coins in this series when they were issued for an estimated 3 years or so. High grade specimens of AU to Uncirculated are also very scarce.</p><p><br /></p><p>Whilst founded by Lenin in Russia, the eventual victory of the allied forces and Joseph Stalin's strong arm leadership, the Soviet bloc expanded to include much of Eastern Europe and the Central Asian Republics making them one of the strongest superpowers for decades.</p><p>[ATTACH=full]1046336[/ATTACH]</p><p>Soviet Russia would eventually survive the onslaught of the second world war and established the powerful communist Soviet Union to rival the Western Democratic Countries championed by the US and Western Europe heightening at the cold war during the 60s and 70s.
