So what does it weigh? Can you show a photo of the thickness? How much is that in US?

The Morgans are real, and the weight is about 4oz, .925 silver.

    Jerome,those Czarist Russian copper coins are actually 10 Kopecks,not 20 Kopecks.The 20 Kopecks is a silver coin.

I have no idea what 20 kopeks you are talking about JeromeLS especially if they are minted in bronze.

If you are talking about this,

That is a FIVE kopek, not 20. Average weight of this copper chunk is from 45-55grams but mine weighs at 76.4grams, definatly overweight. I have no idea what you are talking about either Aidian. There aren't that many Russian 10 kopeks minted in copper. There are overstruck examples of 1762 Peter III 10 kopeks and 1796 Catherina II 10 kopeks but those are essentially overstruck examples of Petrova and Catherina II 5 kopeks. I believe Swedish copper plates weight a lot heavier than this!

Russia at one stage held the world record for having the largest silver coin at 3 kilograms until recently the Perth Mint in Australia smashed the record by minting some ridicious 10 kilogram silver coin. Now that's HUGE. What's next? 100 kilograms of silver coin? :headbang:

    Gxseries,Austria has issued a 100,000 Euro gold medal-coin,but Canada is planning a pizza-plate-sized $1,000,000 gold medal-coin,which will weigh around 100 kg.

Yes I know Aidan. But that's only for the millionaires to play around with. We unfortunately don't have such money to begin with. Forget that, I would be stunned if anyone here that owns a kilo gold coin or even a 10 oz of gold coin to talk about.

The Canadian mint has recently been crazy with it's minting policy. Soon some crazy country will mint a 1 ton (metal) coin in the next decade and that's technological "feat". (with the exception of stone coin that was used in an island)

Gxseries,I'm sure that you have got enough money to buy an Aussie 1 Kilo silver medal-coin.If you did, you'd have a hard time posting photos of it here.

Sorry, but I got this flash . . . . OddJob in Goldfinger using one of these rascals like a frisbee.

Be like those throwing stars the ninjas use. Not pointed, nor sharpened, but still probably nastier due to sheer density. This sucker would break your neck.

    peace,

These never circulated as money. Sure are big lumps but they're valued only at the silver amount.

You can't store that thing in a 2x2. You'll need to make your own with a pizza box and saran wrap. :)
