I would like to start a thread, or update from an old one, about sites that sell silver bullion, coins, rounds, bars etc. for the cheapest prices possible. Free shipping is a plus! I don't equate cheapest with best. I've used mintproducts.com on numerous occasions. What I like about them is that they handle ASEs with more care than other places and if you purchase from them you will get a coin that will grade very high. I know the theory that bullion is bullion but someday the Mint will discontinue the ASE series and every coin in existence will immediately gain at least some numismatic premium because supply will be fixed but demand will continue. When this happens, the hunt will be on for high grade ASEs.
I use bulliondirect.com and would have to recommend them. I like their Nucleo exchange, you've got buyers and sellers and a market for many different coins/ bullion, plus they run their own store so if people are being hard headed about selling on the exchange you can still find a decent price. Don't know if they're the cheapest, but I like to buy local (in the same state) and tax isn't a problem when ordering over $1000. They also store it in their vault if you want to trade often or stack it up then do one big shipment.
I'm with lightrain on this one. My local shop will sell me bars and colored eagles for spot on and Uncirculated eagles for +4 no tax over $1000 which is how I usually try to buy. The only time I would use the net is to sell! If you go to usmint.go v and search for local dealers they are the ones that will usually give you the best prices. I went to about a handful of other dealers before i found them and I won't go anywhere else now.
