This might have been done before, but I thought we could start a new thread.
The objective will be to post your best "problem" coins. Basically, there are many coins that would not receive a straight grade due to some issue, but these can still be nice looking coins. Please post your examples (certified or raw).

I'll start with this UNC Details-Cleaned coin:
(The luster is nice so the cleaning may have only been a light one)

And one more...yes it is AT, but it was inexpensive and I liked it:

Alright I will play. I have shown it a few times, and for that I apologize to those who are sick of it. It is my avatar coin. But I took a couple more pictures showing the browns and reds it has as well.

Dipped and retoned with light hairlines throughout, but I liked the details on it.

Why did they not straight grade it?

That's why I bought it. I actually have another crazy AT coin that is a Kennedy. This one is raw. I bought a Kennedy album that had 1964-1980 filled in and empty spots after that (with no dates...it was an older album). I decided to fill those empty spots with some proof Kennedy coins and this one just called to me.

Here is more of the page that holds that Kennedy:

I wonder if the 87 would get by PCGS today? I'd hope no, but one never knows.

This one I sold. Both the buyer and I agreed that the color was AT but pretty nonetheless. In some ways, the color makes the beauty of the design pop out and make a common date Peace Dollar stand out.

Well compared to the AT coins I see on ebay everyday, yours are natural lol.

It's like they say about everything. They just don't do AT as well as in the good ol' days :p

One more AT with a sad story:(
This one I sold as AT in the holder. The buyer cracked it and resold it for a modest premium (maybe $10-$15 over my price). The next person listed it as an auction and it resold for 1/3 of the last price. Finally, the 4th buyer listed it for a crazy premium, but now it looked scratched and baggy (likely from all the movement between sales and being raw).

Here is the original photo (it reminds me of PCI toning, but obviously way more extreme):

They thought it was "Cleaned". I disagree.
