Awwww, that's too bad chrsmat71 ... yah, I hate it if and when a coin gets bronze-disease!! (I feel helpless, for nothing I try really ever helps) => that is the good and bad thing about those nice big bronze coins (if they are sweet and they don't have BD then they are by far more appealing than their silver brothers ... but if there is a chance that they're gonna go sour on me, then I hate them!!) => it only takes a couple of bad-apples to wreck that yummy apple brown-Betty desert (ummm, isn't that an old saying?)

I have found that a final final rinse in acetone will remove that sheen of the protective layer. It seems to attenuate after some time on its own so not needed unless you don't like it or not ( heaven to Sayles) sending it off to be slabbed
