    It's difficult to authenticate original rolls. With experience you can pretty much tell but I can't really prove a roll is original. They make a fun collection and there aren't many surviving of many of the older rolls so there is value there. I decided long ago to collect coins and disregard packaging so paying a premium only makes sense to me when there's a good chance of a roll or a set having Gems or varieties.

    I love things like early mint sets like an SMS or a 1969 in their original mailing envelope. The coins will probably be mediocre and could be skunked but there's a real chance of finding something spectacular.
