I sent my sets back to the mint. I keep 1 that I purchase at the Philadelphia Mint.
    I did buy a PCGS PR69DCAM.
As far as the other two I'll just buy the "W" cent when I see them and not the whole sets.
As you can see I'm already ready for them.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you folks paying for this coin?

I don't buy mint products and have little interest in Lincolns, so I don't have a clue what they cost.

I bought the entire proof set only because I get one for each of the burth years of my kids. I think the set was like $27 or so?

Thanks. Is it only available in proof sets, or can it be purchased singly?

From the mint? It only comes in the sets as a "freebie".

The US Mint is offering 3 free Lincoln Cents with the purchase of 3 different sets from the Mint.

The free (if you can call them that) Lincoln Cents are a proof, an uncirculated and a reverse proof. Check out the Mints web site for all the details.

Ha! OK. Like I said, I don't buy mint products so I'm pretty stupid about how they're sold.

So I guess if it's a freebie, then a blemished cent is no great loss, right?

Yeah I'm not really sweating it. I would think the mint would have better QC but then again, I'm not too surprised...

Thanks for the info. My question was born of idle curiosity, so I'll take a rain check on visiting the mint site.

Looks to me like it is a strike through with thread.
