Well, I'm gonna have my first public contest on CT. The rules are simple, you will guess a date and time that I will post my 2000th post, closest wins. Two people can't guess the same. To win you must be closest after before or after I don't care. You get two guesses, and I prefer them to be on the same post together. No changing or editing your guess after you have posted. I won a contest similar to this one on another forum and I had a lot of fun. This contest will end whenever I get to 2000. There will be one winner, and that person will receive a little mix of world coins..... Not the junk kind, these date back to the 1870s and are all in VF+ So just post your guesses here, and we'll see how this goes. All guesses need to be in by August, 22nd EDIT: I would like for the winner to post pictures if possible. Please and Thank you.
coinlover, you get two guesses and you must use them in one single post, so please go back and add another guess.
1st guess: October 15, 2011 at 3:42 PM 2nd guess: November 9, 2011 at 7:28 PM Thanks for the contest! Question: How would you send the coins to the winner and what would you want us to post pics of?
I would send them in a padded envelope, and I don't care how the pics are took as long as the coins are visible.
Since we must include the time, I assume it will be East Coast time. September 27, 2011 - 4:35PM September 30, 2011 - 5:42PM Chris
Is it safe to say we can use the same say just as long as we choose a different time? Both days I picked were used so I will play it safe and change my dates, but I'm sure others will want to know. September 24, 2011 at 5:39 pm, September 28, 2011 at 3:34 pm Thank you so much for this awesome challenge zach24! I appreciate the chance to have some fun AND take those pesky coins off your hands!
well ill be the first into 2k12 and guess January 5, 2012 @ 12:00pm and December 15 @ 11:59pm thanks for the contest !!!
Yes that's fine, same date as long as there is a different time. They're are'nt pesky, trust me. I know how most here collect U.S. coins strictly, but I do both so I like 'em.
