Right. Now that the Kodachrome design generation is complete (with the issue of the new $100), nothing else is going to be redesigned for quite a few years. The next design generation is scheduled to begin around 2020, and *that's* the generation that (according to the top post of this thread) will include a redesigned $2. We'll likely see several more series of current-design notes in the meantime, in all denominations.

The next design generation will include tactile features to allow the blind to identify different denominations by touch. These features are being added by court order, to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Therefore, it appears that they'll have to be incorporated into all denominations, including the $2. (The $1 is specifically excluded from the court order because Congress prohibited any changes to the $1 a while back.)

Edited to add: Here's a BEP document (PDF) from a few months ago, laying out the current status of the next design generation. It doesn't specifically mention the $2, but it does say that the tactile features and large high-contrast numerals will be added to "each Federal Reserve note the BEP is permitted by law to alter", with a footnote explaining that the BEP "is not permitted to redesign the $1 Federal Reserve note".
