LOL...hope you do not try and sell it..LOL you will not get anything for my sig!!
On a more serious note, long long ago, I was a trained artist and can replicate most anything I look at...it is a personal goal before I die to replicate and engraved note by micro line drawings..I am currently looking for an instructor to mentor the project that is experienced in cross hatch and line engraving so I can prepare to embark on this project.
I have not picked the note yet, however, I am leaning in the direction of the $10 Jackass note of which I have 4 in my collection. The rendition will be rather large, up to 16x20 for wall hanging..

Let's see if I still have it in me to do this...LOL

Whoa!!! A 16x20 engraving! Now that will take some serious back-breaking, eye straining effort... and only then after you've achieved the mastery of all the tools and techniques. That will be a one hellova print project and a life time achievement if you intend to do this the old school way of hand engraving and printing. I commend your goal and enthusiasm and hope to be able to see something like this come to fruition one day. :thumb:

    Krispy...

No.. not an engraving..a micro pen drawing of the engraving..up to that size..once I speak with my instructor/mentor (whomever it wil be) I will be better positioned to make the size decision.
It will be a huge undertaking for me and something that will take a few years to finish no doubt.

Ah... So then you meant that you wish to reproduce this as a hand drawn image executed in drafting ink using something like a Rapidograph Technical pen?

As an aside idea, it might be interesting to know if anyone has rendered the old currency in vector graphics to preserve these designs, perhaps within the treasury archives they have. If such a file were built, it would be possible to reprint on almost any scale! or send the file to an old style mechanical pen mounted to a plotter and get a mechanical ink drawn repro print.
