To me this is just more hot air BS coming from homeland security pukes. The reality of the matter is that the Federal Reserve Bank in NYC has a better chance of being hit by lightning, than being attacked by terrorist. The suspect is just some shmuck they rounded up for another show trail. [IMG]

Wait, what? Am I misreading this story? "Sources say the suspect was acting alone in the plot against the Fed..." yet "Law enforcement officials stress that the plot was a sting operation monitored by the FBI and NYPD..." and "he drove a van that he believed to be loaded with explosives from Long Island to Lower Manhattan". If he was acting alone, and plotting alone, who gave him the van full of inert explosives? something smells fishy here...

The suspect was trying to make contact with someone to get explosives and was discovered by an undercover agent. The FBI supplied him with fake explosives and then arrested him after he tried to detonate the fake explosives. Here's n article on the story: http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/201...t-he-had-1000-pound-bomb-authorities-say?lite

Why not arrest the man when the explosives were supplied? That's like giving a fake gun to a murderer, then showing up to arrest him when he holds a bunch of people hostage.

Detector, perhaps there is a difference in what the charges would be.

They may have been trying to find out for sure if there was more than one person involved. Thankfully, nobody was hurt.

Because then they have to prove what he intended to do with them. After he pulls the van up to the building, it make the case a whole lot easier.

And what does any of this have to do with bullion investing or coin collecting ? Absolutely nothing !
