Hello All, I have the following piece of obsolete paper money from Terre Haute, Indiana. The obverse states the following: "Will pay to bearer at the Treasurer's Office of said City - One Dollar - Subject to the provisions of an Ordinance of said City entitle "An Ordinance to provide for the current expenses of said City and declaring an emergency" approved December 2nd, 1873" The obverse also shows a date of December 20th, 1873 and is signed by Treasurer John Paddock and Mayor A. Thomas. Also shown is a Number 1199 in the upper left. The reverse states "City of Terre Haute - 1 - Warrant" I have looked this up in Don Kelly's book "Obsolete Paper Money - A Guide with Prices" (2018), but was unable to find it. I have had no luck when searching online either. Is anyone familiar with this style note, has happened to have seen this before, or would have any references with information on this? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Here are some images of the note in question: Thank You.
