And, I would say that the reason that dealership had extended that warranty, had absolutely nothing to do with jumping up and down and screaming like a banshee . It had everything to do with the terms and conditions written into the warranty. It had absolutely nothing to do with a customer being irrational and unreasonable . Your attempting to make it sound as if because this OP spends x amount of dollars with this company that they should accommodate even his most unreasonable , without legal merit demands. If he is that cheap , to worry about a sticking five dollar charge , believe me i'd tell him where to put his business , in no uncertain terms either.

I'm done discussing this nonsense. His position is meritless.

LOL - Baha you are not comparing apples to apples. Do you really think buying a Jag is like buying a "widget". I just had to chuckle at that. Now back to my popcorn. :)

Look, all I's know's is I's bid's on an auction and if I's wins a lot in that auction then Teletrade sends me an e-mail and I's pays for the lot. What's they's supposed to do, wait till I's bids in another auction and sends me a combined invoice for the lots that I's wons? How would they's know that's I'd be bidding ins another auction? Is they's supposed to wait a week ands sees ifuns I's bids and wins again?

Oh I wish I had a camera today.. priceless.....!!! I get one of those pink slips in my mailbox - signature required. Go to the PO - Hand the slip to the lady, she makes the comment oh you have 2 packages.

She comes back looking at the same shape and sized envelopes and asks - "why didn't they ship these in one package? PRICELESS! It was so hard to keep a straight face... I bit my tongue and nicely told her, that they refused to ship them together that apparently it was against their insurance policy.

She asked what was in them. I told her pennies.

She replied, I kid you not, "that is the silliest thing I have ever heard, isn't there more risk with multiple packages?" I left saying "it's a long story".

Here again. as long as you guys like checking out separately, paying for every package separately, receiving them separately, opening them separately and paying more than you should, then go for it!

I refer to do things more efficiently and hate waste. I also choose to complain about companies who pass their needless waste and costs of their inefficiency onto me.

BTW... no one yet has provided any proof of their terms that states they ship every auction separate and will not combine shipments or invoices.

Also for anyone who would like to get their costs lowered, that buys from TT..... - then, allow a few auctions to build up and then request the auctions to combined onto one invoice..... will be doing coin collectors a favor in the long run. They will not change anything, if there is no demand to change. Worse thing that is going to happen is that you will have to go back and forth on each auction to check out.

I still think it is funny how everyone gets up in arms over personal messages that have zero to do with the facts regarding their practices.

    Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Glad to see this thread still rolling...

I still need to scan my first TT invoice so someone can explain to me how they came up with the number. Anyone interested in taking a shot at it or discussing why they don't itemized BP's for each item?

In my case I log onto these sites in marathon sit downs and place my bids and walk away. When I got notice of my first win, I noticed I still had a lot of bids in that weren't closing for a few days that I was still high bidder. No point in checking out until I was done bidding, I do that with same thing with all auctions. The only sellers that don't like me are the ones who are trying to make their margins from excessive fees. IMO an indication (one) of the best sellers are those who include shipping in their prices, IMO they have done their homework and will be happy to have your BIZ

    lol.... nice.

As to Jags... the one in question was per T&C's,, OUT OF WARRANTY ,, the dealership could have told him to flake off... and did ! At least for the 1st 3 times he called..... and you bet you rear by the time he got to the 4th call he was a colorfully articulated sob.... he had moved on to contacting thier corporate office and was working his way up the ladder there when the local dealership caved.. and oh so politely called him, apologized and asked him to bring the car in to be fixed. In the end, both parties were rewarded.

As to apples and apples,, your right.. the $$'s are not apples to apples... but the service in either venue shouldn't matter... and if eye dropped 1.6k on widgets in the venue, then again i'd say if it as me I'd break out he scent 2-ply and make this customer happy....

Point is that in customer service, you never know who your dealing with unless you know who your dealing with.... so it's best to be as flexible as you margin in the transaction will allow you to be.... because the person who is responsible for buying 100,000 computers at his work often gels his opinion of a computer company from the single computer he purchased for his home.... and the customer service rep who just told such a guy to flake off over $5, may just have lost $5M worth of margin over time..... Again, I know, in dollar value this is apples to oranges, and each company has to decide where the stop loss is in customer service..... but I'd have bent in this case... just me I guess.
