To those who haven't received it....

I use Yahoo for my e-mail and it actually showed up in my "Bulk" folder with all the Viagra ads.

So you may want to check your "junk" directory or whatever. It might be there like it was for me. Hopefully, you haven't set it up so it automatically deletes everything.....

Sorry to hear you didn't get one spock and hobo. Try emailing their customer service about it and see what happens.

I got an e-mail from Teletrade today informing me my coin from Sunday's auction has shipped. No word whatsoever from them about a $50 discount. :(

I personally would not go that far - it would not hurt to ask about the offer, but I would not go that far. I mean if you can get the best deals on teletrade then continue to use it. Why spend more on ebay or heritage especially if you could get a better deal at teletrade. You could always use it to low ball a bunch of bids to see if you get a great deal. I know I need to search it more often to compare to heritage and see if maybe I could get better deals on it. Don't burn a resource in the heat of the moment.

Come on man---get over it. They don't send these out to EVERY person on their email list at the same time. I have gotten these before when others haven't, so IMHO they send these out to a few every few months.

wellif they hadn't sent it to you i am sure you wouldnt have been happy either and its not a one time thing. i has been happening for quite a while as a customer i have the right to the same privileges as other customers. Hobo and i are also entitled to the coupons IMHO or at least an explianation from teletrade

Like I said---get over it.....I didn't get one of these either and I can care less. $50 isn't going to help me get a coin anyway from them.....
Yes you have the Privilege as the other clients---but this isn't something that the law says they MUST give out---this is a gift and they are free to give it to anyone they want...and they can leave anyone out.

I agree with speedy, but at the same time be polite to teletrade support when asking about the offers. As it is they will probably pick up more customers than they will lose. No reason to burn a resource over $50. When bidding on coins I need to check this site along with heritage and ebay. I personally want to get the best deal that I can get no matter where it is at.

I agree. While it would have been nice a $50 discount is not going to make or break my decision to buy coins on Teletrade.

Its not a question of burning over a resource its a question of the perceived treatment while it might be very easy for someone to say get over it when the rub of the green goes their way sometimes and sometimes it doesnt its not easy to say the same thing when it goes against you all the time anyways its a personal decision and I feel any good company/dealer can explain their actions to their customers. I have more than a dozen resources that I use to pick up my coins so one less wont make a difference. I need to find the best deal too but I would never go to a dealer or a company to get the best deal if I get treated in a way where i feel i am not being given a good deal as anyone else. It all comes down to a personal preference in the same manner some people never use ebay.

Hmmm, according to some folks over on the PCGS forum they mainly send out the coupons to people who don't regularly buy from teletrade, I guess hoping that that'll give the necessary motivation to start. ;)

If you're a regular teletrade buyer that may be why you didn't get one.

I second the thought about not getting too frustrated or whatever.

From what I'm seeing here, quite a few people got this and it has to be used in January.

You can bet the auction prices are going to be inflated for the rest of the month as people have some free money to play with.

Might be another reason Teletrade does this - it makes the "realized auction" figure look pretty good as people are spending "play" money as part of the purchase price.

Is that you, Vinnie? You told me about Teletrade awhile ago! You bid on one of my listings a while back! Well, last night I used their Coupon! I bid & won a coin from them and together with shipping ($5) and fees ($8) the total was $65! I ended up paying just $10.00 total! I can't believe the deal I got! You advised buying from Teletrade because they were all certified and had great deals! Well, I finally did! I hope you're the same Vinnie, and you're doing well. If not, oh well..........!

Don't forget that Teletrade gets 12% of that $50 when you spend it. That amounts to $6 so they are really only giving you $44. And if you buy a $425 they get the entire $50 back in buyer's fees and hopefully have a new customer that will spend more in the future. Think of the $50 discount offer as a sort of loss leader.
