I just done a lot of updating of my Roman Imperial grid at Tantalus Online Coin Registry. I have been re-shooting a lot of my coins, phasing out many of the old scanner photos. I've been using a combination of my own re-shoots and dealer photos that have a white background. I have a lot more coins to update but a lot are now finished. Also, I added a new emperor to my collection, Procopius with the rare reverse type not listed in RIC. Also, there are some bugs in the grid, but a lot of these are being worked on. I can't switch coins into a primary slot yet. I have let Rasiel Suarez know about this issue. http://www.tantaluscoins.com/coins/grid288.php
Just a few. I have way more to go before I get to the impossible rulers. I'm not really worried about those too much. As you mentioned to me earlier, only one coin exists of Constantia in the British Museum.
I am planning on purchasing some uncleaned lots in the future, but not for that reason. I am actually more interested in cleaning coins and finding some type that I don't have that is good enough to fit into my collection.
That and picked clean of any really good coins most of the time. I am thinking about getting this lot this month that isn't bad but is also partially cleaned, I think.
That lot looks somewhat promising. I think you could get a handful of coins in Fine out of it. But don't take my word for it - I have little experience sizing up lots for cleaning.
