LOL, but in all seriousness, you may have just nailed it. Comet does have a very similar smell. Ill have to see if I have some so I can compare side by side. But I bet your right, I bet that is a main ingredient in this stuff.

Your little poem made me remember an old acquaintance who used to brush his teeth with comet. Yes, he was crazy. But, he had some crazy white teeth! And no I never smelled his breath.:rolling:

Well, it does work to a point. I will agree, it does make a bright shiny polished clean copper coin, look a whole lot better than it did. But I still say this stuffs junk. Maybe Ill have to take my own before and after pictures for everyone to see.

 

It doesn't work as well as the eBay Seller would want you to think! Note: The Seller's before and after pictures which he or she states that the background is white. Well, in the after picture, the background is grayish-white which indicates that they used Photo Editing software to darken the picture to make the coin appear darker than it really is.
