Hey Doug Well I'm going to open this black hole again....mercy. Whille checking out the value on a MS65 1880S morgan I happen to see the value of theMS65 1880-O above it. Why is this so high as compared to the ' S ' or ' CC ' ? I won't mind if you tell me to find a better/new thread for this question? zeke
Easy answer - it's because the '80-O in 65 is something of a condition rarity and the other two are not. The '80-S in 65 is even very common. In fact all of the early S mint Morgans are so commonly found so well struck, clean, lustrous and frosty that any Morgan from the other mints would be a full grade and maybe 2 grades higher if they were of the same condition.
