If you're saying it's counterfeit, the date is what does it. I have a 1921-S Morgan, and the date looks totally different than this one.

Of course, this may not be what you're talking about, but the piece does look fake.

That was fast...The jumbo S is what initially got me. It weighs, holds a tight diameter but a tad too thick (left below). Calipers really don't lie.

Every time we show a fake and narrow in on what makes it look and be fake, we are giving them more information than they should know and have. They are getting better and more sophisticated at our own expense! What are we to do?

Bogus. The mint mark is way too big.

Its a China production. Costs about $1.79 or so. They do not try to indicate it is a genuine US coin on their site, They even have our ex-president on a fake US gold bill for a dollar.
So far almost all of their products ( I've seen coins from 5 minters and 1 has been very good), but they always have an error. I use to see one with a naked walking liberty, but no more.

Now we're talking, sign me up for that one.

But I was curious where the OP got it, and if it was being passed off as authentic.

I mostly likely acquired in a lot of 200+ dollars 10 or more years ago. The mint mark along threw me and I have only personally had 1 bad peace dollar that was fairly obvious even to a novice. The below is spot on and the emoji nails it !
