you can see on this 1857 how different the denticles compared to other dates . 56 and 57 had issues with this.

 

Worn dies and uneven strike. I was at 58 on it

Boy was I off base! In all fairness though, I am VERY conservative (in grading, anyway).

 

You can't get any healthier then Ken he takes his medicine every evening .....and I'm pretty sure he bathes on a regular basis .

This characteristic is very common on H10C and 10C LS coinage.

My guess: Unc details, Environmental damage.

even after seeing the grade - I'm still in at a 62 -
labels have been known to be wrong !!
