I recently found a Clark, Gruber & Co 1860 twenty dollar gold coin. It is marked with an uppercase "T" between where it says "Denver" and "Twenty D", located under the image of Pike's Peak. I cant figure out what "T" stands for. Possibly for "Trial" as in trial strike?

Sorry, but that is not a genuine coin. It's a cheap token. You can 'em on ebay for about $5.

    Welcome.

    Jake:
By found, he probably means with a metal detector.
I also have one that I dug with the detector some years ago.
I don't know where it is today, or I'd post it for you all to see.
Most likely it is in a box of junk that I don't want or need, but feel funny throwing away.
[time to post on ebay, I guess.]
