    Wait it just occurred to me that I have a similar bronze coin to the OP's. So it's not a tetradrachm or from Syria but it has Caracalla and an eagle with a wreath...

    Anybody know what the proportions of silver to copper these tets were made of and for how much would they traffic in the market place vis a vis the contemporary imperial denarius? Would these coins have circulated in the Latin West?

    Ummm, is my Syrian Eagle Elagabalus Tet allowed to join the Caracalla party?

    219-220 AD
    Diameter: 26 mm
    Weight: 12.80 grams
    Obverse: Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right
    Reverse: Eagle standing facing on ground line, head left, holding wreath in beak; D - E on either side, star between legs

    Here are my two caracalla's tets, as for Geta, one from Antioch with a classic portrait, and one from Laodicea with a more oriental style portrait

    Hey I snuck in Herennius Etruscus and a bronze provincial from Marcianopolis and didn't get any demerits so I think you'll be fine!;)
