Syracuse Tetradrachm Pendant

    This pendant arrived in the mail today, which I picked up for twelve bucks at auction. I believe it's a struck counterfeit Syracusan tetradrachm of this type (SNG ANS 246). I believe a real one would weigh over 17 grams, while this one is 14.77 grams while still inside the .900 silver setting. The obverse die seems pretty close to this fake recorded by @maridvnvm in Forum's fake coin database.

    That said, I think it's still really beautiful and well worth the price of a cheeseburger.

    Feel free to post anything relevant, like fake coin jewelry, cheeseburgers, or anything else!

    $12 seems a bit high for a cheeseburger. Nice pendant, though.
