I like the 1959 Soviet Union and the 1981 Bulgaria!

I don't have any coins, but I do have this medal. Will that do?

    Chris

Not nearly as striking as the coins above but is special to me because my grandfather brought it home from his years working in Iranian oil fields. Lion holding a saber.

I bought two of these coins from the Soviet Union in 1965 when I was a kid.

I lived in California and remember having to send US money to the Bank for Foreign Trade of the USSR in New York City and later receiving the coins.

A year earlier I ordered a set of Russian (Soviet) coins:

I have many coins that fit this theme so I will limit my posts to one per century for now.

I've got sooo many swords and sabers. Here's my most recent pick up and probably oldest sword coin. 1614 Doppeltaler Teutonic Order.
