Bought a what I thought was going to be a 2002 £2 britannia, nice silver bullion coin. I got home, and realized someone along the way had put a 2006 £2 britannia in the package. Not sure why, but it is quite annoying though. The funny part is the 2002 has a lower mintage than 100,000 according to ngc, but the 2006 has a mintage of 100,000 as is given on the packaging. Also the packaging for the 2006 is supposed to be different. Switched, swindled or simple mistake? I usually take better photos, my apologies.
Did you purchase locally or online? You can make a complaint. Then, ask for a refund or trade, your preference.
Locally through a vendor who buys lots and collections and sells them at an antique mall. I guess I'm just slightly confused and annoyed. It's just going to look weird if and when I go to sell.
