Swiss Shooting Medals

That sounds pretty cool, if you get a chance to throw some pics up here, I'd love to see what you got. My budget hates me too, but I'm slowly beating it into submission.

This one is supremely tempting, but I am trying to hold off. Price is $700 but I would rather use the cash for a couple of ancients. Thoughts on price for this?

 

@kazuma78 That one is technically a shooting thaler, not a shooting medal from what information I've learned thus far due to it having a monetary denomination (5 Francs). If that is the specimen version (looks like it might be), NGC's price guide puts it at up to $875 book value. If it isn't the specimen, there's a mintage according to NGC of 25,000 pieces with values of $300+ in MS condition. Of course if anyone else reading this knows better, please correct me.

That toning is gorgeous btw.
