Yes this one looks familiar. This half was featured in the “For Sale” section last week. I fell for it the second I saw her and I’m completely serious when I say photos do not do this half justice. I still feel like a kid that opened the Christmas gift he dreamed about all year. I cant get enough of this one. Even got up in the middle of the night to look and make sure I didn’t dream it. Yeah, I am completely head over heels with this half. Thank you @C-B-D
Beautiful coin and awesome strike. Seems like he has been making a lot of dreams come true around here lately. Nice pickup Randy!
Very pretty. What do you think of the grade? From the pics it looks a bit undergraded to say the least. Are there more marks than what is showing in the pics?
AU58?? The only possible wear that i see- is on the knee & arm. Im still not convinced that this coin circulated though. Way too much luster and i dont see many hits either. Is it possible that the PL fields confused the grader(s) into thinking someone lightly cleaned it? Ive seen TPGs knock a coin down when they suspect the surfaces arent original. Hmmmmm
I don’t see it either. Being an old guy that judged his coin purchases for years before anyone heard of a TPG, I don’t make my purchases based on a TPG grade. Old habits die hard I guess. I appreciate holders for the protection and legitimacy they provide. There may be just the slightest of a rub on the high point of Liberty’s chest. Light bag marks in the obverse fields. The reverse is immaculate. The coin presents flawlessly. Absolutely flawlessly. The grade assigned by the TPG is insignificant to me.
Like many said AU-58?It looks like it lived it's life in a bag and not long there either.Gorgeous Coin
