Sweden closer to cashless society

    The old saying goes, "cash is king"! I see people at the cash register, and their credit card/ phone payment will not go thru, they look real smart not having any reserve cash to pay a $20 bill:shame:. I always pay with cash, never had a negative comment. We will never see a "cashless" society.

    As far as the hobby trends, auction records are being broken ad finitum for rare high quality coins, banknotes. The exception are US prices which have been depressed over last 15 years.....due to that prices where way to high to start with.

    Don't think so. And this proposal of making cash handling mandatory for some banks only is not what the Riksbank wanted anyway. We will see where this goes ...

    Have never been in a situation where none of my cards was accepted. (Except for a few "cash only" places that become rare even here in Germany.) And the funny - or rather not so funny - thing about cash registers is, if there is a blackout or some technical problem, even cash will not work because the cashier cannot open the register. Been through that one time. ;)
