SVDB price?

The average price of PCGS graded MS-65 Red specimens is at $7,367 and Coin Values gives a price of $8,500! Due to the coin's provenance, if offered through Bowers & Merena who sold the majority of the Norweb Collection or through Heritage at the 2008 May Long Beach, CA Signature Auction, it is possible that the coin could bring $10,000 and possibly more. I think that this kind of final bid price is possible, especially with the current feeding frenzy that is going on for early Lincoln Cents!

Id really be interested in that. I was thinking of selling or at least taking offers, but I didnt think of that. I dont think I would want to put it on ebay.

Who knows, maybe its one to tuck away for several decades and give to the kid.

It was my very first key date and my first svdb.

 

You guys and gals are starting to give me a complex as many times when I make a post, the Thread dies and no other posts are made! I am sure that bajablu as well as myself, would like to read some follow-ups about a possible price, his' 1909-S VDB Cent might bring due to it's Norweb Collection provenance. My assumptions may be wrong and totally off the wall "per say" and lots of opinions and thoughts are always better than a few.

Should this be a coin thats sold at an auction? Like by heritage or Bowers & Marina? I dont think ebay would be the best. I think I would worry to much about getting hosed.

That is a nice coin, I would at least talk to Heritage about it. Another person you may want to talk to is Ira. He is one of the best at SVDB's and 22 Plains in the country. iras4 on ebay.
