Do you all keep Susan Bs when searching small dollar rolls? I've been keeping them. In the 80s, I remember how easy it was to get Ikes at the bank or store, so I kept little of them. Now, its extremely rare to find one in circulation (I've never found one at any banks or supermarkets). I'm thinking the same will become of the Susan Bs, so that's my rational. Thoughts?
Most of the SBA's were the first year 1979. I have a nice AU 1999-D 11M minted that I kept. The 1979-P near date is a keeper. 1979-S proof clear S. And then low mintage 1981, 1981-S proof clear S and the 1999-D. I was able to find a couple of 1980 SBAs metal detecting, but I've never ever seen a 1981.
Well, when the economy collapses, they might not be worth anything. And only gold, and food stuffs will have value.
It's at the point a person can't say anything on this forum without someone posting something negative.
Need some emoji at the end of those especially with that subject matter as there are actually people who chime in with serious comments like that
I Like to pull them out. Like @ldhair said, they’ll never be worth less than a dollar. You can always use them to practice your grading skills or give them out to the kids at a coin club.
Absolutely condition is key. Have really great examples of all of them, most from CRW when they weren’t thrown back into circulation yet. Even a couple great 1981s but no Type 2 S’s yet. So it is possible!
I actually had one on there that I removed, because it was too obvious and didn't need one. I guess I was wrong.
