    What I believe you're seeing is a coin that has experienced extreme die deterioration, that is to say that the coin was struck long after the die had outlived its' usefulness. Not rare.

    I'm not sure on this one. Maybe like green said, experienced extreme die deterioration or maybe just a fake made to circulate out of the US. I don't know.

    Looks like it rode around in a clothes dryer. Between the drum and the wall.

    Maybe Struck Through..
    A Struck Through can occur on one side or even both sides of a coin.

    Thank you everyone for the replys ..i am a new member and began collecting again after i went through my 700 dollar in change piggy bank...thanks for this last image...i am happy to have found this error coin..it looks exactly like the coin i have..i am in the process of collecting what i can grab at the moment..this is an expensive hobby though..i found this coin in a vending machine
