Opened a roll of 2 Euro cents for the register in our shop and was quite surprised to find this dime. Totally beat up but must be prior to 1965 as it weighs 2.46g. Imaged next to a clad
That’s a silver dime alright, there’s a Denver mintmark on the reverse to the left of the center torch.
If it is the coin on the right, I'd say you have a 1960 to 1964 silver dime. Interesting find with 2 Euro cents. Wonder how that happened?
Quite often get non- European coins in the Euro rolls but this is a first. When you take the rolls to a bank here they just weigh them, and allow for the small tolerances. The rolls are plastic and the correct quantity fit exactly so they can see if any are missing. Problem is they are tinted plastic so cant tell what coins are in there. Each denomination has a different color plastic holder
Here is a visual so can can see. You get them from the bank in stacks. When you fill them, you then roll the plastic form around the coins and click the studs together
Well, that's certainly different than I was expecting. I thought it was more like the shrink wraps ones we have around here. Reminds me more of a egg carton. LOL
from which country are these rolls? I do like them as they are reuseable we in Austria here have paper rolls...
