I do not usually post too much here. But hubby surprised me again with some Lincoln rolls. They usually order from the New Orleans area vault so now and then he surprises me lol. Simple I know but fun. I posted this on coin talk but I thought y’all make like a few of these. I was shocked really.

You got some nice modern Lincoln’s. A few tougher dates in the mix.

Aldo, check that 1972 closer. There are a number of varieties for doubled dies.

I know I’m still finding so many. Not sure what’s up in this batch hubby brought!

Yes and they are all in rolls. Not sure but every roll has these. When I get home I will look at them more and peek in. It’s fun lol!

It's nice that you found them but it's a tough time of year for many. Perhaps these came from someone who was struggling to keep up or someone dumped someone's collection without permission.

Yes I did think that as well. These were ordered from the New Orleans vault with brinks. They deliver to where hubby works.

Your '69-S is soooo close to lacking the FG initials on the back.

Have you ever found a coin in circulation that you kept?

But of course. I have been collecting for 57 years and many of mine came from circulation to fill those Whitman folders when I first started out. I still do check every piece of change I get. Silver was still in circulation when I started as well as Buffalo nickels and occasional Indian Head Cents.

Yes I bet. I’m a little petunia in an onion patch lol! I guess just caught those before opened and back into pockets again.
Someone turned them in no doubt. 1929s etc.. many dates in rolls. Fun but hate to think they may have had to turn them in.

A little over a year ago the tellers at the bank hooked me up. About 40-something silver Kennedys and even 5 Franklins! There were even some Ikes in the mix. I'm thinking it was a collection dump.

When I was in banking, some customers would do the same. It’s good you know why tellers. Fun to go through I bet.
