I was a supporter once but continuing that got lost in the fog of time.
I need a nudge once in a while.
I'm now a supporter once again.

Oops, now I have a Dealer label too!?
That was the only option that would fit my intent.
I assume one the the monitors can remove that part and leave just the Supporter label.
    Please do.

This is business. This way or that way, directly or indirectly, everybody (except erol) here is to make some money. Even those instutions etc around whose titles are "X charity" or "Y philanthropy" etc and people there saying "we are volunteers" are not really volunteers. I mean, yes, they are volunteers, but, not for nothing, they somehow make money indirectly. No, not blaming them, but, this is just a reality.

How do I know these? I know. It is crystal clear.
Those charity philanthropy institutions organizations etc do not care about the one cent, either. They don't accept it as donation.

Ya think ? Well, I've been doing this for 15 years and all I've ever done is spend money out of my own pocket to keep this website up and running. And Peter, he even sold his coin collection to keep it up and running.

You might want to think again !

Well said. I am only slightly ashamed that I took so long to figure out what was going on and to contribute a little bit. If you guys need more help, just ask.

Then, we can call it "business failure", can't we? If yours' and Peter's goal were not to lose money by running this website, it was to make money like any businesses including charity business. Ok, maybe, this site is not for business at all, just for hobby. In this case, those people here who make some money directly or indirectly by using this site can contribute. Sorry, I won't support, I am here for purely non-profit reason, am not here for any money, well, except one cent, but, anyway, you people here don't count it as money.

Peter's goal, and my goal, was to help people Erol - it's just that simple.

And I was hoping I had just been in the dark all of these times and the check was in the mail. But then I might miss all of the posts that tell me how bad my interpretation of the rules happen to be and I would be so lonely :)

I see you do so. So, Peter gave up helping people? I don't see him around, got lost in the darkness or in the coin details? or perhaps just waiting with a hammer in the hand?

Jim, you (and the other mods as well, are all great people and you do a heck of a job here and often receiving only grief for payment. But I am here to set a record straight. You, Jim, SPECIFICALLY YOU, are the subject of this post.

You do a fantastic job helping people and helping to keep the peace.

You can be a bit strict at times, but fair. We have not always seen eye to eye, but over the years we have both grown and I know that personally, I have a ton of respect for you, and have grown to really appreciate your insights and knowledge on many complex subjects. You speak with measure and intelligence, and you are a great asset to this forum. I like you, personally.

I think that every once in a while it needs to be said so that people realize how they're thought of in a community, because it is that all too seldom that people say what they really feel. You deserve praise and acknowledgement. It's unfortunate that it serves as the only pay you receive, and it's worse that you don't get more.

The forum is a better place because you're here and because you dedicate so much to it.

    Just sayin...

Erol, you are sounding like someone who asks a stranger for lunch and then asks them to serve it to you. You do happen to be here , posting long erratic posts on a one trick subject FOR FREE on a forum Peter formed to help people who wish to know about a variety of topics. You could elaborate on many of the numismatics of your country from ancients to modern and maybe interest others instead of continuing you current path. I am only serving because of Peter and Doug and the support of many members that enables so many to learn more. It gives me pride to know these 2 men , even if just by written communication. Peter also sacrifices for other educational forums he supports financially such as the Stampexchange.com and others. Reconsider your approach. Take care. Jim

Gee thanks Mike, I really was trying to be funny, I am not that type of pity-poster :)
You are a large asset to the learning process here, and we are all continuing to "grow up" as we meet people who are more knowledgeable than ourselves. Keep up the good work. Time for me to take off for my evening Human Anatomy class....I give back tests tonight :(

Pah, I'm a senior citizen here. ;) Have been around here since 17 Sep 2002. And I have not received a single check from CT since then. OK, we do not really use checks around here anyway, but I would have taken coins as well of course.

I have received a few pieces from Coin Talk members however ... but that you know anyway. Thank you. :)
