Super sweet find at the bank today!

Good grief! Some search thousands of dollars in rolls and never find that many. It had to have been a mistake for someone to have turned all of those in...great find!

Yes, I'm up to 139 boxes of halves searched, + over $5000 in loose halves, and have found a total of 16 Franklins......less that what he found in this one stop.

All I can say is CONGRATS.....finds like this keep me stopping at banks.

I think that many of us roll searcher are going to start finding more collectibles in rolls due to the poor economy and people rolling up and cashing in their pocket change collections.

 

I hope you are right kangayou, because I'm just getting in on the action. I wish I would have been coin collecting all these years instead of Baseball Cards, I got some time to make up for!

 

I NOW wish I had stuck with it when I started and stopped back in 1972.

I called APMEX for a quote and they said they would give me their full bag rate of 4.85x face.

Thats great. I think after reading the various metal detecting threads, I'd buy a starter one just to fool around with and put that money right back into some coins on my wish list, which is quite long seeing as how I pretty much just started collecting.
