    My apologies for not responding sooner, sir.

    Misleading to those who may read this thread and do not yet understand that TPG standards are not always the same. I realize that this was not intentional, but by quoting PCGS guide values for an NGC coin, in this case, it is really comparing apples to oranges.

    If all things were equal, this would be reasonable, but this is simply not the case. Just as we would not include basement or questionable slabs if we did as you suggest in determining FMV for the simple reason that standards are not up to par, we must also realize that while both NGC and PCGS may be highly respected and reputable, their standards are simply not always the same, and this goes well beyond cents.


    I believe that everyone was on the same page in regards to the RD designation.

    It is nice that we have people here who can participate an honest discussion without the need to take differing points of view as a personal attack. Don't worry about the so-called mistake, and you do not need to explain yourself to anyone. I think this a fine thread and thank you for starting it, sir.
