Stunning Blue and Golden Green Double Date Indian Cent!!!!

    that coin is so nice. is it common for the idc copper to tone green and blue?

    i ask because i found a 1901 that is crazy toned that color. its ridiculous actually, and i never seen copper tone like that.

    it's hard to say without seeing the coin. It depends on how the coin was stored as to how/why it develops "original" colorful toning. One thing helps determine a cleaned coin in my experience is that if it is circulated (XF or lower), and has colorful toning, most likely it has been cleaned. Uncirculated copper with colorful toning is harder to determine. There have been many discussions on this forum about cleaned coins, so it might be helpful if you do a search for them and read those discussions.
