Looking at STATES OF AMERICA. I know it's not much, I'm just trying to learn what I'm looking at. Struck through, die fatigue, something else?

you'll find a lot of cents that look weak in that area usually the result of over polishing..

The devices are wider because of a thin layer of grease in the dies. It block the formation of the tops of the devices. Because the devices are tapered, when the die is blocked, then the devices loo larger than normal.

That is why the devices are larger looking.

Thanks again coop. Definitely not drastic enough for me to keep but I want to be able to identify anomalies at whatever stage/level of drasticity (yes, I just made up that word).
