Struck through/double die error? Not sure...

    Got this odd looking quarter today. Looks like there are lumps on top of Washington's head and at the end of his nose. Also looks like the the outer edges are weakly struck.

    That's all it is..odd
    It's probably a Deteriorated Die. I see no kind of doubling.
    By the way the correct term is Doubled Die - I want to share this webpage with you - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doubled_die

    No DD. Looks odd, like the coin was the last one minted before the mint took it out of use due to wear. :)

    It certainly is a late state die. Look at all the erosion radiating out from the center, in the fields.
