1963A is a B-D 1988 is a G-P Sorry I made a mistake the third bill is a 1995 which is a G-P What does that tell you about the notes?
Hello, Im sorry to have to ask this, but I just came across a $20 (2004a) bill with serial code GL 51505150 This is a trinary repeater, correct? I found the number to be incredibly unique but don't really know the value of it (if any at all!) Thanks in advance for any reply
Trinary is an eBay term and carries no extra value to collectors. It would be called a true repeater, as the first 4 digits match the last 4 and will have a premium above face depending on condition. Considering you said 2004A it is probably heavily circulated and would only be a few dollars more than face.
Got 2000$ in Ones. 16 straps of circulated bills (7 common Stars) and 4 crisp 2013 BEP straps with Serial range of A54277101A - A54277500A. #245 is coming home with me I would have liked to have gotten #542 for a matching bookend set.
I grabbed $200 in Singles the other day. All very circulated. Nothing of real interest, though there were two good liar's poker bills with LOTS of 7's. Oldest bill was Series 1999. Rob
500$ crisp ones - I20206202B and K00431343-45* 1000$ crisp ones - E37163716B and E37163371B 500$ crisp ones - E21066012D and E21066210D A good week for Repeaters, Radars, bookends and Stars. I love hunting crisp bills
I worked at my local bank for 5 years and I'm fortunate that the head teller calls me whenever something unusual comes in. Last week her tellers took in all of these from one customer. I was shocked when they pulled these out - especially the silver certificates.
I have found my fist Birth Year note Picked up 500 in crisp 1$. Series 2013: Serial range E19869501D - E19870000D. No stars or errors. Would E19869999D have any value to a collector?
Out of a fresh pack of crisp 1$ at work I found a 2013 1$ B00107964*, but cannot fin any info on the size of the run at this time. I'm hoping for a lower run of 320K.
Teller saved me some Silver certificates 1953 5$, and 14 1$ (3x from 1935). Only 4 were crisp and clean with minor fold(s), XF/AU.
I get the series dates, but the rest is Greek to me. Please explain the shorthand you use to this newbie. And then afterwards, I will show off my finds. gotta go get them out of the safe... So we know the domination as it's one of the first word, "singles". the number when following the series is how many he found in that series, but if it follows an 'x' then it denotes how many of that block he found (ie 1995-39 means he found 39 notes from 1995, whereas L-Lx2 means he found 2 from the L-L block). the letters are the block letters (ie L11235813E) L in this case designates the Federal Reserve Bank district, L = San Francisco. This is a star note, E district (ie E314159265*).
Thank you so much for your answer. Very helpful. So in my case it would be: 2009 B-*x4 (Mint CU and consecutive) I have also attached a picture of the bills.
That is correct. These days I typically just write the blocks and districts out as, for example, "B-FGHJx2TUXY" in an attempt to be more efficient. You can see what blocks have been printed for all series and denominations and when down to Series 1974 here: http://www.uspapermoney.info/serials/.
