Got a Barr note yesterday. Its my third or fourth from circulation I believe. Seen better days but I'll keep it anyways.

 

Found this in a tellers try both are from 1950 there in bad condition but i'll say it still a cool find and worth the keep for me at least.

 

Nice pickups guys, I always love the old ragged face value ones.

 

Went through lots of $1 bill packs today one bank was open in town today could not believe it, found 1 1969A $1 bill 1 1969D $1 bill and 8 wheresgeorge bills also found a 1988 $1 bill but have seen so many of those lately.

 

Picked up 11 star notes on Saturday......none of them special, but stars are stars!

Went through lots of $1 bill packs today and found a very crispy 1974 $1 bill kept it, also found about 7 stars but they were circulated so didnt keep them still looking for a 2009 $1 bill star note dont know if any have been made yet, also found 2 1988A $1 bills circulated and also found 9 wheresgeorge bills

 

Found 8 wheresgeorge bills today and 5 1988A $1 bills both circulated also found 2 star notes.

 

Also found a 1963 star, Wierd thing was i found the notes above in two dif banks

Got $200 in singles when dumping my halves at the bank today and found a Barr note.

I do a lot of cashiering and as manager also count out the drawers and deposits where I work. I also do bank runs so I get to search a lot of bills and not have to actually buy straps. Have been getting a good number of one dollar stars, a few fives here and there. Couple days ago got 3 20's, 2009 with consecutive numbers JE 17946129 B through 131. And tonight, a 2006 20 dollar star note. All of them crispy, the star with some wrinkles though.

 

Got several from the Series 1950A-D notes, mainly $10s and $20s so I released some series 1969's on up back into the wild again.

 

From a teller's drawer, I bought $36 in $1 silver certificates today.

 

Wow...you guys have gotten some cool finds.

I'm sad......I had a teller who went through all the 1's every week and would save every star note for me. I had gotten about 200 star notes from her....sold the really beat up ones and kept a bunch. Her last day was Friday and she is moving to a credit union way 45 minutes away (in a direction I don't go....).



It was great while it lasted!
