    Maybe I'll X it out and send it on it's way. 20210924_102817.jpg 20210924_102829.jpg Screenshot_20210924-102654_Gallery.jpg

    don't release it, just damage

Hate the message, not the coin. I would put it in my black box of stuff accumulated that is not in my collection but not wanting back in the market. Poor coin deserves a retirement.

    Wow. That's sick.

I don't think I'd release it, but I certainly wouldn't want it to be a part of my collection.

Maybe turn it in to the FBI? Or your local police? Or destroy it?

Personally, I can understand it is not the coin's fault, nor the recipient's doing, but I would personally drill a 1/2" inch hole in the center. Having such in your home and being found by family members if you died suddenly, would possibly cast shadows where innocence is damaged. IMO, Jim

I was clueless. Thanks for the post.
I'd keep it just to prevent it from being in circulation.

I understand Jim, but I simply refuse to destroy history. I have paper CSA notes with slaves pictured, many, many coins with swastikas, (from 200BC to Nazis), coins of the USSR, Hunnic coins, Genghis Khan, etc etc. Destroying an object only serves to make ignorant the population so the same errors can repeat.

Just my view of it. Burning books is never the answer. Almost everyone in history can be found fault with of modern day sensibilities. If we are modern day iconoclasts destroying everything that is not 100% in line with current "woke" sentiment we have nothing left.

    AMEN!

That piece belongs in a museum or donated to the FBI for teaching purposes.

The quarter is history, short as it is, but the message is abhorrent, and should be destroyed, in my opinion.

Well Dang, until I saw the FBI report, I had no idea what/who put the C/S on it. I guess that explains why I was not "offended."

They say ignorance is bliss and I'm so ignorant that very few things offend me. However, I do understand that our education system has insured that there are many more knowledgeable & informed "statue wreckers" in our country than before. One day soon, I may be sent to a reeducation camp!
