So, that is solder and not rim cuds? They sure look like they are part of the coin.
Solder remaining on a coin can strongly resemble a cud.
Do you think the booger under her nose is solder?

I don't see how you're missing this. From 10-1 and from 6-8 extensive text book mount removal marks. You can clearly see the direction of the cut. I have seen so many coins with this appearance. What looks like a broadstrike is the rim being cut down. Not saying there wasn't originally a cud. I agree there was, but that is unrelated to the present condition.
