As a general rule, whenever I am collecting raw coins, I generally buy an album to keep them in if I have any significant quantity of dates or mint marks. I prefer Littleton Albums as I like to keep the same 'look' on my numismatic shelf. I like Littleton because it is a three ring binder that allows for easy addition and removal of individual pages. Some people are worried about the clear slides scratching the coin. I personally never have experienced this issue. But then again, I do not have any Gold PF70 Gem PQ coins in any of my raw albums that I have to worry about. I also have purchased the blank pages (no dates printed) for my raw Morgans and SAE collection, which is not a date or MM collection, but rather just raw eye catching Morgans and SAEs that I pick up here and there. I personally never liked the plastic pages in a three ring binder.
