This is meant as no blame to anyone. I just think if we truly pull are sences together we can see when enough is enough. We sometimes loose track of the threads meaning. Get self absorbed in our oppions. Then it becomes a tangent. Then throw out huge words to show our self worth while impressing no one but themselves. Hey. Keep it simple stupid is a recognizable phrase. Think about it. People with much knowedges teach others with less knoweledge. If you brow beat the lesser. They turn you off and walk away. Great you won. But what did you actually achive. You made your point and belittled them and they'll never talk to or respect you again. Great win !!! Some pride themselves at being so coin knowegable. Others share it in a kindly manner. I think when trying to share my knowedge with my grandbabies I'm flexible and try a smoother approach. I want my grandbabies to know that they can always come back and discuss the same topic once they think about it. I never want them to be affraid that I'm going to treat them any different or any LESS. I don't think knowedge in coin talk is meant to be a weapon.
Nah. I know little bits. I know my place. Debates are great. But when the thread question is lost. It's time to move on. Not to fight just to fight
How do you feel members should respond when a member keeps posting false information? They didn't bother to read what was being said and know nothing about the topic. They just felt the need to post something. How should members respond?
Ah so you missed that rare error penny that was struck with Superman and Batman dancing ballet together on the reverse
I've never been one to bicker with or be condescending to anyone, but none of this from other people bothers me either. Critically thinking minds breeze through tangential conversation and mud flinging to focus on actual information. When I feel there is bad info being posted, I make my case as clearly and thoroughly as possible and let it ride. If people want to come at me sideways they will only end up arguing with themselves. I'm happy knowing that the silent majority of readers will not be sidetracked by all the petty stuff
If a member is posting inaccurate information I see no problem in correcting them. Heck I have been corrected a time or two. If they are knowingly passing incorrect info them by all means call them out. It's people like this that makes others question the ones that do post accurate info.
We all love one another.
No we don’t! Don’t be afraid to call someone out and don’t react like a tool if you are proven wrong. Apologize, learn and move on.
