Hello everyone! Let me interrupt your shopping Saturday and turn it into " Sterling Silver Saturday!". Post any Coin, Token, Medal or Jewelry stamped Sterling Silver. Not sure what to expect but here we go!! I don't think that I currently own any coins BUT I did find this single earring Metal Detecting one day. I figure it dates to about the mid 1900's because it's a "screw back" design. Like buttons, they were often lost for obvious reasons.
I have a ton of metal detected items that are Sterling Silver. I will just show the most recent items.
All my British pre 1920 silver coins are 925 Sterling, but I'm not about to photograph or post them, as there are thousands. Here's some of my Sterling from my display cabinet.
This silver (.925) coin was issued by the Cuban exiles (Brigada 2506) in the United States in 1965 to raise funds for the fight against the Castro's regimen and the liberation of Cuba.
I have 4 cabinets in my lounge, this one contains the most silver, mostly Sterling. Glass shelves, mirror back and lighting don't lend themselves to photography.
And my favorite: A Gold Panning Spoon Notice the gold pan below the minor. It even has gold in it. Not real gold. Lol The entire spoon
The food is in a serving rush and this is used to push it to get every last drop or bite. Nothing was left. Think apple sauce.
