Hello and Welcome to today's Coin-themed thread. It's called, "Steller Saturday!". All Coins, Tokens and Medals with STARS on them. Post your as well. Here are a few of mine from Sal's meager collection. :
Elagabalus AR Denarius, Rome 220-222 AD IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate draped bust right / VICTORIA AVG, Victory flying left, open diadem in both hands, shields to both sides, star in right field. RSC 300. RIC 161. BMC 234. 2,8 g - 18,5 mm
Good Fellow Coin Club, Gary Indiana. Two stars in the perp but also Stars and Bars shield with 9 stars. Possibly 9 stars for the 9 in 1969 and 7 bars for the 7th annual show.
HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS, laureate bust right, draped far shoulder / COS III, crescent moon, seven stars within. good very fine RIC 202; RSC 466; BMC 464.
I don't have too many coins at all, mostly tokens and medals but here's a 1986 Statue of Liberty Gold!
She's a tough one to photograph, but this is about the best I can do with my phone and having lost too much patience. Here's some slightly better pics from my scope...
Neat Paraguay @Chris B, I have never seen that coin before. What's with the Miltary design on the reverse of the Russian coin.
