    jefferson nickel - 1938

    you should also buy or check out teh black book

    i know for a fact that barnes and nobles and the library has it

    well my oldest cent so far is 1961

    the oldest lincoln i have is a 1941 and the oldest cent althogether is a 1884

    Before you ask....the Roosevelt dime came out in 1946

    did they have a makers mark in 1974

    werid because ive got a 1979 & 1974 & 1966 quarter without a mint mark

    thats because, in some years, the pennsylvania mint did not put mint marks on some coins

    I believe Phil. didn't put mint marks on them.

    All US coins without a mintmark were minted in Philadelphia. As the main mint, they felt they did not need a mark.
