    1974 Alumunium Penny

Are you saying that the 1974 aluminum penny is the most valuable? Also, if one was found and it's illegal to buy or sell in US, where can it be sold - a private collector - and how would one find a buyer?

    1974 Aluminum Penny

I think I found an 1974 aluminum penny. It has the coloring of a dime, in fact, I thought it was a dime and tried to pay for something with it, but the sales clerk gave it back to me saying it was a penny. It is stamped 1974 D. I know these coins are very rare and illegal to buy or sell in the US, but how could I find out what it's worth.

    1974 Aluminum Penny

From everything I read online, there were 12 unaccounted for not counting the one that is on display at the Smithsonian.
