The bset, Maine & Alaska..The man in the mountain is no longer. It fell down. NH definitely the worst.
I always equate the the mustangs with the Mustang ranch first legal brothel in Nevada. So to me in a way they ARE showing prostitution in a subtle way.
The worst: South Carolina (it's just a bunch of state symbols, very busy and unimaginative) Texas (we know it's the Lone Star State, isn't there anything else?) Michigan (same problem as Texas) Connecticut (a big tree?) The best: Georgia Rhode Island Arizona North Dakota California
Texas was very generic, and Florida was a bunch of crap slapped together. And I did not like alaska either. Actually there where about 3 in the whole serious that I did like.
No, I didn't expect poker chips, but I did expect to see Hoover Dam on it. Horses mean nothing to me.
Best State Quarter: Connecticut Other that I like: Virginia, Oregon, West Virginia, Alaska Worst SQ: Wyoming Others that I do not like: Maryland, Texas, Florida, Montana In general I do not find state outlines attractive either. In the case of Michigan, the combination with the shapes of the lakes looks OK though. Christian
My top 5 (no particular order): -Colorado -New Mexico -Virginia -Alaska -Pennsylvania Bottom 5: -Indiana -Tennessee -Maryland -Kansas -Wisconsin
Hadn't really thought much about the series couldn't really remember many of the designs so had to look them up. The list of worst was harder to decide than the best for there were so many poor designs. If these where all done by competition I wonder what so of the losing designs looked like? Best: Maine Hawaii New Jersey Virginia Utah Worst: Michigan Pennsylvania Tennessee Wisconsin Indiana
I think the 5 best are not in any order Hawaii Ohio Idaho Oklahoma South Dakota The 5 worst are New Mexico Florida Wyoming Arkansas Kentucky
Great topic. My favorite are: Delaware New Jersey Massachusetts Connecticut Vermont I wrote an article about my Top 10 State Quarter List. You might find it interesting. My least favorite are: Oklahoma Idaho Mississippi South Carolina Indiana
It is funny that you mentioned that. I noticed it too. However, I am not from New England. I live in Pennsylvania. I think that my real bias is for history of the Revolutionary War. I love learning about the Revolutionary War. My love of history is what draws me to coin collecting.
I'm not found of Connecticut. I think it is boring and without imagination. I was surprised by the quality of the Delaware release and it lead to some high hopes for the series. Ruben
My Top 5 (in no order): Oregon New Jersey Maine Washington Ohio My Bottom 5: Wyoming Wyoming Wyoming Wyoming Wyoming
