I debated sharing this for a few days, but I might as well, considering over 40 states have removed the tax on bullion already.

    My state may be next.

Maine State Senator Eric Brakey has sponsored the bill, my local Senator.

I hope this passes, as this is something that will directly affect myself, and local shops that deal in these products! Can't give enough thanks to Sen. Brakey who encourages precious metal investments, educational achievement, and more! Bravo!

Nice. My state removed sales tax on bullion and numismatic items early last year. If anything it was long overdue.

I hope that bill passes. You don’t need to pay taxes on the purchase and then again on the sale.

I think ebay needs to reevaluate this as well..

I think eBay does that depending on the tax rate for the state the buyer lives in, so I think that will come soon :)

Agreed! I was joined with this Senator at the hip last year and we talked about precious metals quite a bit.

I can't help but think our discussions about the topic helped to promote this bill, and the other bill which allows the state treasurer to store wealth in gold and silver to reduce the chance of delinquency!
